Note: there are a limited number of spots in each competition—register for them early!

Open Jack & Jill

This is an open level contest. We encourage beginner and intermediate dancers, especially those who might be new to competing, to enter this competition. Dancers who regularly take Advanced or Masters levels class, or who often make finals in regional or national competitions are NOT permitted in this competition.

Dancers will enter as individuals, and will be paired randomly. In the preliminary round on Saturday afternoon, these couples will dance to a variety of songs. The best competitors of each role will advance to the final round on Saturday night. There, competitors will be randomly assigned one partner; these couples will dance in all-skates and spotlights. The best couple as determined by Fog City Stomp judges will win.

Advanced Jack & Jill

This contest is designed for those who regularly compete (and win!) regional or national competitions. There are no restrictions on who can enter, however.

Solo Jazz

This is an open level contest: any dancer can enter regardless of competition experience, and the best dancer wins.

Dancers will enter as individuals, and will solo dance to a variety of songs. In the preliminary round, judges will tap in competitors who will advance to finals. The finals will occur in an all skate and spotlight format. Each dancer will be given a chance to shine on their own, and the best competitor as determined by the Fog City Stomp judges will win the competition.

60 Second fast Showcase

New this year! This is an open level contest: any dancers can enter regardless of competition experience, and the best dancers win.

Each choreographed routine in this division must be between 45 and 75 seconds long, but they must be FAST-- at least 220 beats per minute! Routines can have between 1 and 8 dancers, and may contain any amount of solo and/or partnered dancing. All swing style dances are permitted. Each team will perform their routine and the best team as determined by Fog City Stomp judges will win.

Note: a properly cut version of the music selection must be provided to Fog City Stomp DJs at least one week before the event, by attaching it to an email including your team name to team@fogcitystomp.com.
